Life Legacy
Raymond H. Walsh, 88 of 175 Broad Street Pawtucket died Friday, January 1, 2010 at Memorial Hospital of R.I. He was the husband of Mary Purcell for 68 years. Born in Cumberland he was the son of the late John B. and Cecilia (Flaherty) Walsh. Raymond was a Pawtucket resident most of his life. Prior to retiring in 1984 Raymond had been employed as a furnace operator for Lincoln Dimensional Tube in Lincoln, RI.
He was a member of AARP, a life member of the Kennedy Manor Tenants Association and a member of the United States Steel Workers of America Local 4256.
Survivors besides his wife are a son, Bryan J. Walsh of LeMesa, CA.; 3 daughters, Phyllis St. Louis of Ann Arbor, MI, Christine Beniot and Colleen Murphy both of East Providence; a nephew, Robert Walsh of Warwick; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
He was the father of the late Janice Venditto and brother of the late Beverly, John and Joseph Walsh.
A private funeral service was held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements by the LACHAPELLE FUNERAL HOME Pawtucket.
