Biography

Alice D. Oliveira, 84 of Chandler Avenue, Pawtucket, died Thursday at Home & Hospice Care of RI, North Main Street, Providence. She was the wife of the late Jose M. Oliveira. Born in Brava, Cape Verde Islands, Alice came to the US in 1987 and settled in Pawtucket.

She was a communicant of St. Edwards Church Pawtucket.

Alice is survived by one son, Jose Oliveira of Kissimmee, FL; three daughters, Maria Goncalves of Pawtucket, Ilda D. Oliveira of Faial, Azores, and Mariana Oliveira of Sao Miguel, Azores; 15 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

She was the mother of the late Arnaldo Oliveira.

Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. from the Lachapelle Funeral Home, 643 Main Street, Pawtucket with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Edward’s Church, Weeden Street, Pawtucket at 10:00 a.m. Her life will be celebrated with calling hours, Monday from 5-8 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment will follow in Mt. St. Mary’s Cemetery, Pawtucket.
