Life Legacy
George E. LaChapelle, 86 of Wake Robin Road, Lincoln died Friday at the Pine Grove Health Center in Pascoag. He was the husband of the late Virginia (Rennex) LaChapelle. Born in Pawtucket, George was the son of the late George and Jennie (Coopy) LaChapelle, and brother of the late Bill LaChapelle. He had been a Lincoln resident since 1995. George was a WWII Army Veteran.
Until his retirement many years ago, George had been employed in automobile sales as an independent agent.
He is survived by one son, George E. LaChapelle and his wife Tracy of Woodstock, CT; two daughters, Marianne E. Santoro, Esq. and Husband Ralph E. Chiodo, Esq. of Lincoln; Jacqueline LaChapelle and husband Nathaniel Cook of Providence; three grandchildren, Heidi Nixon of Lincoln, Tyler LaChapelle and Kaily LaChapelle both of Woodstock, CT and 1 great grandchild, Chase Williams of Lincoln.
His funeral will be held Wednesday, 9:00 a.m. from the LACHAPELLE FUNERAL HOME, 643 Main Street, Pawtucket with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. John Vianney Church, 3581 Diamond Hill Road, Cumberland, RI at 10:00 a.m. His life will be celebrated with Calling Hours Tuesday 5-8 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland, RI.
