Life Legacy
Georgette M. Biere, 88 of Pawtucket died Friday at the Waterview Villa Nursing Home in East Providence. She was the wife of the late Charles G. Biere. Born in New Brunswick, Canada, a daughter of the late Alphonse and Valentine (Cloutier) Landry. Georgette came to the US in 1942 and settled in Central Falls and had been a Pawtucket resident since 1955.
Georgette had been a self employed hairdresser operating Georgettes Beauty Shop of Pawtucket for fifty years retiring in 1983. She was a Communicant of St. Joseph’s Church in Pawtucket and had been a member of its senior citizens womens club. Georgette was also a member of the Central Falls Community Center and of the Ladies Auxiliary of Notre Dame Hospital of Central Falls.
She is survived by a son George M. Biere of Pawtucket and several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Paul, Bert, and Conrad Landry, Jean-Berthe Senechal, Germaine Cartier, Yvette Brunet, Gisele Mathieu and Patricia Lima.
Her Funeral will be held Wednesday 9:00 A.M. from the LACHAPELLE FUNERAL HOME, 643 Main St. Pawtucket with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph Church, Walcott St. Pawtucket at 10:00 A.M. Her life will be celebrated with calling hours Tuesday, 5-7 P.M. Interment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery Pawtucket. In lieu of flowers gifts in her memory may be madeto the Activities Dept of the Waterview Villa Nursing Home, 1275 So. Broadway, East Providence, R.I.
