Life Legacy
Alma L. McCormick, 97 died Sunday at the Jeanne Jugan Residence in Pawtucket surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Charles J. McCormick. Born in Canada she was the daughter of the late Calixte and Annie (Smith) Bernier. She came to the United States 92 years ago and settled in Pawtucket.
Alma was a communicant of St. John the Baptist Church and a member of the Legion of Mary at the Jeanne Jugan Home.
She is survived by two sons, Richard J. McCormick of Alabama and Robert J. McCormick of North Attleboro; six daughters, Janet Lavalley of Pawtucket , Arlene J. McCormick of North Carolina, Claire M. Mueller of Nevada, Doris M. McCormick of Chicago, Joan McCormick of Hawaii, and Deborah McCormick of Alaska; 21 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Alma was the mother of the late Roger J. McCormick.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10:30 A.M. in the Chapel of the Jeanne Jugan Residence, 964 Main Street, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are invited to attend and may call at the residence from 9:30 – 10:30 A.M. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket. In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory may be made to the Jeanne Jugan Residence, 964 Main Street, Pawtucket, RI 02860.
